PATH TO SOLUTION

Finally let us come to the core and urgent demand of the people, the solution of Kashmir problem. Kashmiris because of their long sacrifices, subjugation and oppression under Indian occupation forces need/deserve a just, honourable and urgent solution. They are the real sufferers and target of the present savage war/brutality inflicted on them by India. Besides this, both India/Pakistan face the brunt of economic backwardness due to the mutual threat of another war. The present wave of threat and mistrust has the potential to expand into a full-fledged war and end in acute poverty, destruction and under-nourishment of the people on both sides of the border. But the continued physical annihilation/mental trauma with which the people of occupied Kashmir are undergoing due to systematic genocide and gang rape, is / incomparable incompatible.

With this background the solution of Kashmir is a moral duty of the UNO. Big powers have special responsibilities to end the long and dreadful traumatic nights/days of Kashmiris. The Kashmiris who have learnt to force India to recognise their inalienable right of the right of self determination, continue to pay heaviest cost for their goal. Kashmir gained present world attention by unique mass . uprising having two principle ingredients, political and armed. Without the combination of these two factors we would not have achieved this much projection. United Nations should divert all its efforts towards the exploration of Kashmir solution. The right of self determination is the pivot round which the conclusions of the debates in the S.C revolved. This principle should not be thrown in any dust bin to please the Indian government, who made unequivocal pledge of a plebiscite with the people of Kashmir at the time of partition of the subcontinent. Western powers or the governments who are honestly interested in the solution of Kashmir should make efforts in this direction and intellectuals/politicians of different countries not excluding India /Pakistan should continue their exercise to solve the problem made so complex by, Indian intransigence. But, every power on earth, institution, organization, govt or N.G.O. must acknowledge the genesis of the problem, the intifada and the sacrifices of the people. Without acknowledging it or by bringing at par with each other, India the oppressor and aggressor and Kashmir the subjugated, all intellectual and political exercise will end in futility and failure.

Our well wishers and those of the suffering humanity have to share major responsibility towards the final solution of Kashmir question. To arrive at some peaceful solution of the problem they must help to strengthen this intifada without which, India is not going to change her rigid/negative stand and sit around a negotiating table. So, the talk of solution without present struggle or its due recognition by global community is a cruel joke. At home masses form the basis of our liberation movement. It is the genuine dons of our soil who really infused fresh blood in this great movement and moulded the democratic world to their cause. A liberation movement rests on the popular will, which draws inspiration from honest, selfless and dedicated leaders not turn coats and exploiters.

Politically Kashmir wants/needs an alliance of genuine historical forces 'not chauvinists or fake freedom fighters. It will go contrary to the interests of this movement if a class of vested interests is imposed on the heads of people and old wine in new bottles is offered to them. Militarily we can not afford to have various armed mujahideen groups. The lessons from Afghanistan are eye opener to every saner element in the country. But, to cut the roots of real sons/forces of soil in the name of reducing groups is another folly which is equally dangerous for the future of Kashmir. Under the given circumstances when different groups hold automatic rifles in their hands either the Indian army will systematically wipe out our people, or we will be eliminated in mutual group clashes. Therefore the military wisdom points to a unified command, a singular militia of all mujahideen of Kashmir on the pattern of Algerian resistance movement in 60s. But, it will not be a militia of one particular organization. It must have a national non party character which will not lead to party dictatorship or totalitarianism against Islam and Islamic concept of democracy. Such militia will not indulge in any other political or social activity except the goal of freedom. Before giving a final shape to this idea, we should of course keep in mind ideological and tactical errors which were committed by Algerian and Palestinian models in their days of resistance. Armed struggle becomes useless when it looses healthy relationship with its own people. A strong and credible political umbrella will act as a watch dog for the said system. This system/organization' coupled with Pak/moral and material support will furnish throughout an essential lever, without which we can not be able to force India to negotiate finally on our terms.

It is unfortunate that the politics in AJ&K and Pakistan continues to be frosty and frowzy, even at a hazardous stage of both Kashmir and Pakistan history. Trifling games of power overshadow national objectives of the country. It is the body politic, the character of politicians, bureaucratic attitudes, political gambling/manoeuvring, semi-democratic behaviour, feudalism, neo capitalism, ethnic and religious fanaticism, disparity in education, ignorance from Islam's WAST view of life, lack of mutual trust between different sections and federating units, inequality in opportunities, exploitation of weaker sections and easy gun culture, etc. that has plagued the country with uncertainly and corruption.

However, Kashmir is the national issue of Pakistan and the liberated part is the part of the whole state, the mountains and frontiers of Pakistan and Kashmir kiss each other and waters of rivers & springs, flow to irrigate fields of Pakistan. Therefore, a harmonious fibre of relationship. between Pak/AJ&K is of paramount importance for the liberation of occupied Kashmir. AJ&K also needs a clean politics, & administration, which alone will attract her brothers in IHK. Pakistan by advocating the right of self determination under UNO/resolutions has taken over a grand/sacred responsibility as against India who is 'violating the very charter of U.N.O. in Kashmir. Pakistan does not need to wander in Kashmir in search of henchmen or do what India is doing for the last several years in occupied reign, extending central laws and protecting interests of corrupt/dirty politicians. Pakistan was created by the sacrifices of all Muslims in the sub- continent, led by Quaid-e-Azam, a great political democrat of wonderful vision and valour. The spirit of the movement was obtained from Islam and its evolutionary perspective was derived out of the ideas of Shah Waliullah, Jamaluddin Afghani, Chowdry Rehmat Ali, Sir Syed and lqbal. Pakistan is the only country of the modern world which based her concept of state-hood on the principles of the last revealed book, i.e. Quran. Ages will never turn Al-Kitab old/irrelevant and believers will receive guidance from Quran till the Judgement Day.
